it was moist and humid... also the weather. a wonderful year of seeing some of my drag family and friends from over the years. a big thanx to my two assistance over the weekend carl and danny. already thinking about next year.
2022 proved to be a new leaf in bushwig portraits with the introduction of a more interactive space and unique experience. the floral installation swallowed a solid 4 hours of my time day one in the sun, but upon completion it became apparent the time was well spent. and no tropical paradise would complete without my giant parrot "javi" taking center stage. lol thank everyone so much for showing up ready to go. sending all the love. izzy.
this year's bushwig was a spectacular return to the land of the beautiful and bizarre and my first large event in over 2 years. since the pandemic hit so many of us have had a truly shit time trying to survive the world thats been left to us. we've lost many friends and family not only to covid, but also to depression and substance abuse. i can not express how grateful i was to see so many familiar faces and long time friends once again and give them the biggest fucking hug. also a huge thank you to the real world angels that made sure to keep me fed and watered when i couldn't seem manage it for myself. i hope you enjoy this selection of images i captured during this years event.

Bushwig moved to a new larger venue with an additional outdoor stage. the kids did not disappoint. This gallery is huge cause honestly i struggled getting rid of any pictures. everyone was on point and the lewks were deadly all weekend. All the thanks to the entire crew in brooklyn, you guys really know how to throw a party!!!!
this was my very first Bushwig. i showed up unannounced, with a shit ton of gear and no idea who was in charge. Within 30 minutes i had set up my rig, and established a protocol for the gurls to get their shots and had the best single night ive ever had in brooklyn. thank you thank you thank you for the kindness and love.
